Grades Update - QTR One
I have added the Chapter 11 and 12 test. The highest earned was 44, and I threw out one question. So that is equal to 90% and is the curve set point for the test. I doubled it, so the test is out of 88.
To determine how the Food project can affect your grade, take your current grade and times by 0.76, this will tell you what your grade would be if you do not turn in the assignment (or if you get a zero on it). Add 24 to that number, and it will tell you what your grade will be if you get full credit for the assignment.

Updates Chapter 6 Powerpoint
Here is a link to an updated pdf of the chapter 6 powerpoint. This is the current one I actually used in class. It is a pdf that has one page for each slide, so you may want to choose how to print it carefully.

How to use this page
1. Use this page to print out the review questions that are assigned for each chapter.
2. Use this page to download and print the PowerPoint presentations for some chapters. If you do not have PowerPoint on your computer, you can download a free PowerPoint reader by going to the "links" section of this web page. Using the print dialogue you should be able to print several PowerPoint slides on a single page. I recommend that you print these before coming to class - this way you will not need to write down the words from every slide, and you can take notes directly onto the printouts of the slides.
3. The day before some chapter tests you may be able to download "comments." These are guidelines to help you focus your study on the parts of a chapter that will certainly be tested and to have some idea (usually) of what the FRQs will be for that chapter.
4. When available use this page to print out "Durand Notes." These are Mr. Durand's own distillation of each chapter's main points, figures, tables, and examples. They are especially valuable as a review tool for the AP exam.
